Apple will begin using PMMU to support virtual memory with future releases of system software. Virtual memory means that part of the computer’s disk can be used as an extension to its main memory. This will allow users to run more applications under MultiFinder™ than at present, other uses will follow.
At this time, Apple does not wish to emphasize this feature of the Macintosh SE/30.
